Fairytale Wedding Invitation

Client need: I was asked to design a memorable wedding invitation for a fun engaged couple. They had their venue in place, and were getting married at a castle in Ireland. The castle is known for their fantastic woodland adventure playground, and the various animals that wander around the castle grounds. The couple are fun and imaginative and they love plants and animals and asked for a dreamy, fairytale invitation.

Solution: I water colour painted the animals (plus their own adorable Cat for an added home touch), the local greenery, and the castle grounds. Once I had all the paintings complete I digitally enhanced the paintings and composed the graphics. I selected fonts and developed the invitation layout. I wanted the invitation to serve a dual purpose of being a wedding invitation and a castle grounds map.
